Nov 22, 2018 · Running the MBC in conjunction with the N75 will not allow you to increase the boost. It will only let you reduce the boost. If you want to eliminate the spike set the MBC for 15 psi. If you run the MBC by itself I don't think you are going to like the results.
Aug 25, 2008 · so im thinking i have a faulty n75 valve but i dont know for sure and def dont wanna blow money and not have that be the problem. im just having horribly consitancy with my boost. could be spiking 16 one day then 7 the next. no CEL either. how should i go abouts finding the problem. thanks guys
Jan 2, 2010 · PCV location on A4 1.8t 2003. On my A4 1.8T 2003 it is located under intake manifold towards back of the engine. You have to remove the coolant reservoir to see it. The first picture shows the opening where the PCV valve larger end (arrow) attaches, the second the PCV valve (arrow) and the pressure regulator valve for crankshaft housing
Mar 20, 2014 · you have a fault code for N75 open circuit. Thats not caused by a siezed dump valve, its caused by an open circuit on the N75. That can only be caused by two things. 1) a broken N75. 2) broken wiring. Dump valve is cheap and easy to replace, they're about £25 from the dealer (get the TT225 version as its stronger) But i doubt thats whats wrong
Sep 11, 2009 · With N249, the ECU routes vacuum reservoir vacuum into DVs for the -14inhg to about 0psi threshold (it is really based on load instead of pressure I believe). This is to open the direct path from Y-pipe to throttle, omitting turbos. Turbos are not needed until you want positive pressure which is above 0psi.
Here comes the N75 valve. The N75 valve is inserted between the turbo's high pressure output and the wastegate. If the turbo would directly linked to the wastegate, it would not be able to produce lets say more than 0.3-0.4 bar of boost, because it would shut itself down immediately.

Jun 19, 2017 · On closer inspection, it originates from a T-Piece in the N75 to VNT Actuator Line. The connector looks like it's designed to also serve as a one-way valve (to close the open line), however when testing the line between the N75 and VNT Actuator it will not hold a vacuum; it's leaking from this connector. Therefore no vacuum = no turbo.
If the breather valve is faulty, full engine vacuum is typically found when removing the oil cap at idle. When found in 1.8T engines, such as the (3B) B5/B5.5 Passat, check the PCV "bleeder valve".
